Happy Love Day {Child Photographer~Rockport, Texas area}

I really enjoy Valentine’s Day.  I love the colors, the sweet treats, all things heart and I love-LOVE!!!  I love my family, I love my friends, I love God and I love all of the great clients I have the privilege of working with!!!  This Valentine’s I worked hard on a cute little set and I had an amazing time with a return client-her two boys and sweet new baby girl!  These kids are absolutley adorable.  With the sun  staying up a bit longer, no humidity and these three awesome children, we had a great photo session.   Check out these cuties!

Miss “H” {Teen Photography~Rockport, Texas area}

I had the privilege of working with a few amazing teenagers this month and I am going to be featuring them right here on my blog.  The first one is Miss “H”.  We had a great time with red lipstick, fun locations here in Rockport, and squeezing the last bit of daylight out of our two sessions.  I enjoyed a bit of Q & A with her and here is what she had to say:

Hello Miss “H”, I really enjoyed our recent photo shoot.  I thought it would be fun to take a minute and ask you a few questions.  So you will be wrapping up junior high in May and heading to high school.

How do you feel about going to high school?

It’s very bittersweet for me. I have become really close with some of my teachers over the years and of course I’ve made a lot of memories. But I know there are good times ahead at the high school too and I’m excited to move on.

What one word would you use to describe your junior high experience?

Ridiculous (in some good ways and some not so much)

What is your favorite subject?

English, because I love reading and writing. I also like health and choir.

What activities/clubs are you involved in?

I am in UIL competition for Ready Writing and Impromptu Speaking. I also have Pure Heart Girlz, a Bible study that I started in sixth grade and have continued to lead.

What is one of your favorite memories of being in junior high?

My English class got to go to see The Hunger Games at the end of the school year in seventh grade. That was fun. And this year at one of the pep rallies all of the eighth graders decided we weren’t going to scream at the grade level cheers. We were all just silent and it was so funny.

What two things will you miss most about junior high?

I will miss my teachers a lot. I hear that in high school they give you homework on the weekends, I used to think that was just a myth. So I will also miss being free on the weekends.

What are you looking forward to in high school?

I can’t wait until I can sit wherever I want at lunch, because we have to sit alphabetically in middle school. I’m also looking forward to having a little more freedom.

If you could give a word of advice to an incoming junior higher what would it be?

Study for tests but don’t stress over them. Find ways to politely move around slow walkers in the hallway (I had to master that one) and don’t date while you’re this young.

As an eighth grader,  if you could tell your sixth grade self something now that you wished you knew then, what would it be?

Don’t try so hard to fit in.

If you could change one thing about junior high what would it be?

The part where we got a dress code and I can’t wear my cute clothes.

Are you planning anything fun  this summer?

Yes, I’ll be going to student camp with my church for a third summer. I am also hoping to go on a mission trip. And of course sleepovers, but that’s pretty much a given.

And if you could tell your senior self something what would it be?

I would be like “Ya made it this far, you’re almost done. No more 8 hours 5 days a week of this. Hello real life.”

Again, I enjoyed my photo session with the beautiful Miss “H”.  I am continually amazed that I get the honor of being her mom!!  You are such a visionary and dreamer……never stop!!!

My Own Valentine {Child Photographer~Rockport, Texas area}

Love is in the air and I am smitten.  This little cutie, Mr “J”, is my very own Valentine.  He was a little fussy about me photographing him, however he really did a great job.  As challenging as it is to photograph my own-it is completely worth the challenge and all the memories I am creating!  I have Valentine Mini’s coming up this Saturday and it is not too late to book a time-morning or afternoon.  Call 361-444-3404 or email me at tharrisphoto@gmail.com.

And baby makes three…{Family/Maternity Photography~Rockport, Texas area}

The blessing of new life-what a joy to capture this glowing mom and happy father -to-be!!!  Not only was the photo shoot to capture the early pregnancy but it served as a gender reveal as well.  (The little red dress was her mommy’s).  I know this baby girl is already a sweet gift to her mom and dad and that April 2013 cannot get here fast enough!! Congrats to Mr and Mrs “G”!!!

Happy 1st Birthday~Smash Cake Session {Child Photography~Rockport, Texas area}

This little guy turns one on Christmas Day and what better way to capture this special time than by a red green Smash Cake session.  This was my very first one of its kind and I had a great time!! Mr “K” was great, sitting so still for his first set of pictures and then having fun getting a bit messy with his cake for part two.  His expressions were so cute and he really set the bar high by good his behavior.  I enjoyed every minute of this fun photo session. If you have a little one about to turn one-don’t wait-book your appointment by e-mailing tharrisphoto@gmail.com or calling 361-444-3404 today.

Enjoy Mr “K” enjoying his photo shoot!!

The “M” Family {Family/Child Photography-Rockport, Texas area}

The “M” Family was my first family taking Christmas portraits this year!!! I love a new challenge and shooting at a new location-sight unseen- was a bit of a risk. I was so pleased with the great scenery and the beautiful family.  We had some wind and a few frowns, but not for long!!  The boats in the background and the color choices of the family really compliment each other.  If you are interested in this nice location for a future photography session right outside of the Rockport, Texas area, just e-mail me at tharrisphoto@gmail.com or call 361-444-3404 to make your appointment.  Please enjoy the “M” Family.

It’s A Girl {Maternity/Family/Child Photography~Rockport, Texas area}

Pregnancy!  Aww, those wonderful nine months where you can basically eat anything you want and people love to help you out.  New life is growing and it is just such a beautiful and sweet time.  I know as women we may not feel beautiful while we are pregnant but I think it is absolutely a beautiful time.  I am very thankful that when I was pregnant with our third (and last) child I had maternity portraits taken.  When “J” contacted me about a maternity session I was very excited.  Her two boys are both so cute and now she is expecting a girl.  What fun.  The boys both cooperated so well and “J” is a glowing moma-to-be.  We find a nice sheltered area despite the blustery conditions in Rockport, Texas that day.  Here is a sneak peek form the “S” Family Session.
